“Anna died at 39. Not 27. She said ‘I don’t date. It's hard to date when you’re at home because nobody knows you.’ She died in a hotel room. I survived 27 but I guess I still have 9 more years to worry about. It was Whitney who died in the bath and Brittany nearby. Sometimes I close my eyes for a minute when I drive to work in the dark. Barely awake. Then I stare wide at the 6am sky until my eyes water and I think I can see the moon. I am restless, everything feels fake. Watching myself looking, looking at myself watching. I don’t want to be disposable anymore, I want to be irreplaceable. “
